“Things for a House on an Island” by Fischli & Weiss
A small house at the far end of the sculpture park, with 105 carved and painted objects inside.
“Spalt” by Franz West is three large sculptures in painted aluminium from 2003: an anchor, a coiled rope and a lifebuoy, in cheerful colours by the fjord.

In the model the three parts stand on a timber platform at the far end of the sculpture park, with the fjord all around.
Choose evening to see the sculptures against the sunset over the fjord.
Franz West (1947–2012) was an Austrian artist, known for sculptures in bold colours. “Spalt” dates from 2003.
The anchor measures 355 × 55 × 500 centimetres, the lifebuoy 400 × 55 × 400 centimetres and the rope 290 × 290 × 600 centimetres. The forms are taken from the sea and the harbour. The work is on loan from the Selvaag Art Collection.
The work stands outdoors in the sculpture park at the far end of Tjuvholmen, around Astrup Fearnley Museet. The park is free and open all year round. The nearest tram stop is Aker brygge by Rådhusplassen.
