“Edge II” by Antony Gormley
A cast-iron human figure sticking out horizontally from a wall above the large staircase.
“MOONRISE. east. November.” by Ugo Rondinone is a large head in cast aluminium from 2006. It stands on the steps up to Tjuvtitten.

In the model the head stands on a wooden plinth on the steps by Astrup Fearnley Museet, on the way up to Albert Nordengens plass and Tjuvtitten. The face looks down at the people coming up the steps.
Ugo Rondinone (b. 1964) is a Swiss artist. The series “MOONRISE. east.” consists of twelve heads, one for each month of the year. The heads were modelled in clay and cast in aluminium.
The head on Tjuvholmen is the November head from 2006. It is painted in brown enamel and measures 210 × 130 × 160 centimetres. The work is on loan from the Selvaag Art Collection.
The work stands outdoors in the sculpture park at the far end of Tjuvholmen, around Astrup Fearnley Museet. The park is free and open all year round. The nearest tram stop is Aker brygge by Rådhusplassen.
